Appreciation frames photographer’s long-standing relationship with National Bank of Arizona

Dan Vermillion’s award-winning commercial photography business was launched when he was asked by a large hotel chain in 1980 to travel to 34 cities and photograph hotel properties in those locations. He came back to Phoenix and opened up his own studio. His clients include PetSmart, USAA, Banner Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. His mission is to create strong images for clients to represent their business and help promote their company message. Vermillion has been doing business with National Bank of Arizona since 1994. How has National Bank of Arizona helped you and your company? I applied for a Small Business Administration (SBA) loan, and it was NB|AZ that managed the loan for me. They met me with open arms and because I like to simplify my life, I started doing my personal banking with NB|AZ, too. Whenever I need a line of credit, the bank has been there for me. What do you value most about your partnership with National Bank of Arizona? They’re a bank you can actually talk to. When I talk to someone there, I’m talking to a person, not a cubicle. The person I’m talking to isn’t reading a script. My commercial loan officer, Chris Strandberg, has made a point to visit me at my studio every year. I also appreciate NB|AZ’s willingness to work with me through the recession. They looked at the tough economy as an opportunity to solidify a relationship with me rather than cut ties. What sets NB|AZ apart from other banks? The personality of the bank and the culture that the bank has created for its employees, encouraging them to take the initiative to address clients’ needs and concerns. I like the small-town feel the bank offers. What would you say to other business owners about doing business with National Bank of Arizona? Ask NB|AZ to come and pitch you about the bank’s services. You’ll probably want to make the switch; it takes less than a half-day to switch over all your accounts. NB|AZ is a great financial partner.
